Connexions

Human relationships could be considered among the never-decrypted phenomena of nature. These are invisible to the human eye and therefore can go unnoticed, but the connections we create between us make up an invisible and organic network that sustains the world and keeps it spinning.
For years, the secrets of nature have been explored mathematically to discover its geometric code and thus analyze apparently complex phenomena such as the shapes of mountains and clouds, the path of lightning in a storm or the formation of stars in the galaxy.
Placing ourselves between poetry and science, this principle is used to study human connections under the laws of organic behavior of nature and represent its composition through a polyhedral installation.

"Connections" is a site-specific work designed and created especially for the Conde Duque space.
It is a polyhedral installation composed of tetrahedra created with acetate and dichroic vinyl. The dichroic surface creates a light reflection effect that, with the movement of the sun, causes the geometric shapes to reflect on the patio floor, creating a connection between the people inside the staircase and the visitors walking below.
The viewer completes the work by becoming part of it through his movement and perception, thus generating a dialogue between the space, the work and the visitor.
